Stannol has taken the lead on an EU-funded project. The project deals with innovative possibilities around the topic of recycling solder material – including resource-saving processes and tamper-proof supply chains.
We are supported by four strong cooperation partners from NRW: MTM Ruhrzinn GmbH, the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Information Technology (FIT), the Fraunhofer Institute for Environmental, Safety and Energy Technology (UMSICHT) and bpc specialties GmbH. Our project manager Timo Waldbauer is responsible for the coordination .
"With this project, we want to bring the topic of tin recycling forward. The aim is to find transferable solution approaches for reducing primary material use and to develop sustainable, integrated and resource-efficient secondary raw material concepts. We also want to make a contribution to increasing the acceptance of secondary raw materials in the industry," emphasises Ingo Lomp, Head of Innovation at Stannol.
