Sustainable products
Stannol has long seen itself as having a responsibility when it comes to mining raw materials in a more environmentally and human-friendly way and decided to take action early on. The world's first sustainable solder wire was launched on the market back in 2014. In the meantime, with greenconnect, we offer a complete product range that focuses on the aspect of sustainability and is continuously being expanded.
Quality and safety
We constantly work on our quality and meet the global quality standard in the automotive industry, DIN IATF 16949:2016. With our ISO 14001 certification, we have been demonstrating our responsible and sustainable use of natural resources since 2015. We also have created a separate department for quality assurance and improvement to accompany these demanding processes.
Our focus
We have set clear guidelines with regard to quality, environmental protection and occupational health as well as safety and continuously raise awareness among our employees to these topics in order to anchor and further develop appropriate behaviour in our daily business.
In regular certification processes as well as internal and external audits, we prove our organisational and technical efficiency and face the critical view from outside. Only in the interplay of these various perspectives can we develop ourselves in a way that is market- and customer-oriented, as well as sustainable.
Research and development
Our R&D team is continuously working on current requirements, product improvements and resource-saving alternatives.
Alone, but also in collaboration, our R&D team researches and develops new, sustainable approaches to massively reduce the isopropanol content in our products. In addition, we are intensively searching for solutions to reduce the use of primary materials – for example, by developing more resource-efficient secondary raw material concepts. All projects contribute to the ecological goals of climate protection, resource conservation and biodiversity and should lead to higher CO2 savings.
Time and commitment
The search for resource-saving alternatives in the development of new products requires time and patience. You have to be ready for change to be able to innovate on the topic of sustainability and take responsibility for your own actions. Only through openness to other ways of thinking and relentless dialogue with those involved in the supply chain can these paths be successfully pursued.
